End 1993/1994 : Tom and Dan form EVERGREY (the name of group was found in a difficult context).
1995
: Daniel Noyd (bass) joined the band.
- September : the first song is recorded and Patrick Carlsson (drums)
joined them.
- December : recording of the first demo with Andy Laroque at Los
Angered Recording.
Beginning 1996 : recording of a second demo.At the end of year EVERGREY makes contact with a label to record the album "The dark discovery".
1996/1997 : The band trying to break the contract with the label.Tom became singer because 3 months before the recording the first singer had left the band.
1998
: EVERGREY signs with Gothenburg Noiseworks the album "The
darkness discovery".
Will Chandra (keyboards) leaves Evergrey and is replaced by Sven
Karlsson in 2001.
1999 : First concerts and preparation of the new album "Solitude,dominance,tragedy".
2000 : Issue of the album "Solitude,dominance,tragedy" and first european tour (go to see the tour archive in www.evergrey.net).
2001 :
The band takes part at the Progpower festival in USA.
- Change of record label : Inside Out
- Change of line-up : Daniel Noyd is replaced by Mickaël Hankansson
(bass- ex Embraced) and Dan Bronell (guitar) by Henrik Danhage.
- September : recording and issue of " In search of truth".
EVERGREY starts a second european tour with Therion.
- November : Sven leaves the band and he's replaced by Chris Rehn.
2002
: First tour where EVERGREY are the top of the bill in France.
- Chris Rehn leaves the band.The keyboards player of Andormeda
lends them a hand.
Until the day when the band finally find a new keyboars player who is on stage
at Grasspop and Wacken : Rikard Zender.
-16th september : new album recording and is completed in december.
2003
: Video recording "Blinded" and "I'm sorry".
- 10th mars : Issue of "Recreation day".
- April : Acoustic tour in France for issue of the album.
- Patrick Karlsson (drums) is replaced by Jonas Ekdahl.
- 12th may : the show in Paris is cancelled......
